Me and H and her friend C are off to Skåne tomorrow morning - waaaaay down to the south of Sweden. No nothing, just us. And apparently two days of rain, and two days of no-rain. Ah well, we really had way too much nice weather here, haha! Anyway, just us, and a couple of laptops and other electronic gadgets =) Plus I bring the book that I never manage to finish (Middlesex!), plus all the papers I bought last week to catch up on some reading too. Cause I'm a real wild child Labels: friends, girlie, music, swedish culture, weatherHär kommer Pippi Långstrump

Also known as Lucia buns, or Saffron Buns that they prepare for Saint Lucia's day - she is the saint for Light (luce in Italian means light, so it should come from Latin) - on 13 December, and when families get together on advent Sundays they usually consume this.
Here's the recipe:

"Nobeldagen, 10 december, den dag då nobelprisen utdelas. Alfred Nobel avled denna dag 1896 i San Remo, Italien. Nobeldagen är allmän flaggdag i Sverige." It's funny to write it down, but just down the street where I live, in the City Hall, people are currently having the Nobel Dinner. If you turn on TV4 (Swedish!) then you see them eating and there are anchors talking about a lot of stuff that I don't understand right now. But in a year I will! So, as far as I understood, Nobeldagen (Nobel-day), 10 December, is the day when they give out the Nobel Prizes. This is a flag day in Sweden, and Alfred Nobel passed away on this day in 1896 in San Remo.
Ohh, and the royal family is there... the photo above is take from the inner court of Stadshagen. Now they are talking about the diamonds on the crown of crown Princess Victoria =)))) And when I passed by the building yesterday and the day before while jogging the HDTV crew was already there, and with Lisa we also saw some of the chefs =))) Seriously, it's cool that the building I now live in was designed by the same architect as the City Hall =DD
