Mmmmh, it's been quite a while I haven't even thought about putting down some thoughts, but actually this's been a nice and busy period for me. So I'll try to catch up a bit. As far as I remember, I spent 3 days in Vienna right before school started. I visited Reini, and we spent a great deal of chillout time in that lovely city. The weather was mostly great, but I think we had rain the last evening, but it was good, we talked a lot, and visited a lot of sights. But it was kind of nice... you always get a better impression of a city if you have the chance of hanging around there with a local. I was not in the mood of taking photos, so I guess I only have sg like 2 or 3 =)
Anyway, school was a huge dissapointment for me, or at least my major. I have one course about Open Acces Systems, and it's totally boring, there's this guy taking notes on the blackboard, about the process of creating standards for XML, and a lot of other stuff I'd never evere heard about. And the lab is again totally pointless. We're coding in Java, well, better to say we take a look at what Balint was doing same time last year at the lab, and then correcting our own code. This is all about using stupid IBM sw, as those are the ones they can get for free.
As for work, it's ok, though we're not that busy these days.
This Thursdays we went to see Transglobal underground at A38, I think it was a good party, but was not the music I expected after listening to their CDs. The warmup band was Balkan Fanatik, which was ok, too. Anyway yesterday it was TDK at university, and I listened to a couple of presentations. (For those of you who are not familiar with the Hungarian school system: TDK is a competition for university students, where you can give a presentation and write 60 pages about your experiments and researches in a certain field). Later on a guy (we go to the same course: System Optimization), accompanied me to get my U2 iPod. And you bet I was happy about it! Unfortunately I haven' had much opportunity since then to use it, as later on yesterday afternoon we went out for a lunch with Gy, and then watched Arsene Lupin, and another spanish horror movie. The latter was so bad that even we, who are trained in watching real bad movies, turned that off. Today, we had my grandparents and great-grandma over for celebrating my nameday. Since they left I was watching 24, but I'm about to go to bed soon, as I have to be at the swimming pool by 6am.
As for tomorrow, we go ice-skating in the evening (I just bought my new skates a week ago :o)
I don't know if I'm really in the mood of writing today, but it's always difficult to pick up the line, after you ceased writing for months.
Important news: Bali's bands cd is already out in stores since October, so I have to get my copy and get it signed too =) He promised me to sign it...
I'm kinda like getting into movies again: this time Bergman is the hot topic. Labels:
